A Day in May

Maybe left from a wedding?

A Day in May

A labyrinth in a special garden here. When you walk it you must pay attention. I guess that is how it gets your mind off your troubles.

A Day in May

The blackbirds were communicating loudly to each other in the old live oak, using different pitches and squawks. Very interesting.

A Day in May

This hydrangea bush didn't bloom last year, but this year it will! Maybe the coffee grounds I fed it helped.

A Day in May

Honoring the policemen killed in the line of duty.
The first was my great-great grandfather who was shot and killed in 1865.

A Day in May

As the sun was setting, I went for my daily photo.
Of the ones I took, I decided on this boat in the Cape Fear River, hidden by a fence and shrubs, and as the crow flies not too far from my house.
I looked it up and found that it is a ferry to Bald Head Island.
The camera made the funky effects.

A Day in May

For this month I am going to post a photo a day of somewhere in or around Wilmington.
This is a pretty place to live in Carolina Beach.
