The Most Beautiful Week of the Year

That’s what the second week of April is considered, and now it’s over. I love all the shades of green that the earth is blessed with in early spring. A few weeks later, the scraggly azaleas become filled with beautiful shades of pink. Now their beauty is fading, and azalea season will soon be over. I am happy to be in Wilmington, and I really am at home here.

In 2014, I became highly involved with the art scene here that eventually led to the invitation to open an art gallery. After that closed, when the three year contract ended, I drifted away from art. Deliberately. Art is an interest, but not my biggest interest. There is more to life! Two neighbors have led me back to gardening, so I’ve been enjoying that the past few weeks. I remember a lot from Greenville when I spent so much time in my backyard.

All in all, I am a happy girl and enjoy whatever I am doing. I remember that line from A Child’s Garden of Verses: The world is so full of a number of things, I’m sure we should all be as happy as kings.
