On that hot summer day when I visited the ArtWorks for the first time, I met Janet. We struck up a conversation and found that we had many things in common. Janet is passionate about art, and I think she is happiest when she is in her studio listening to music and creating one of her beautiful oil paintings. Many times I have heard her say, "I just want to paint." See the Shrimp Boats hanging behind her? It was on the cover of a local magazine last month. She does a great job balancing her family and community roles with studio/painting time and accomplishes much. She has helped and inspired me.
