The flights were OK, normal, but after we left the airport in Guatemala City, and got in the vans, it got harrowing. Traffic is crazy in the big city! But we made it through the fights for space on the roads and parking lots, up the mountain, and down some bumpy roads to find the the mission house sitting tranquilly on a luscious green spot. It is not luxurious, but it is adequate and roomy with large common spaces. I am sharing a room and a bath with two other women.
Right now it is dark and I can see lots of lights from a town, maybe Chimaltenango, though the big windows.
